Quick restricter for DT 50 models

Quick restricter (restrictor plate) to be installed between the header pipe and the expansion chamber.

Fits almost all mopeds with Yamaha DT technology from year 2004 onwards, such as Yamaha DT50, Malaguti XTM/XTS, and MBK X-limit with Minarelli-engines. Before ordering, please check that the bolt spacing in the three-bolt connection of the exhaust expansion chamber is 65-75 mm measured from center to center. Also fits other mopeds with a three-bolt exhaust connection and matching bolt spacing, such as certain Beta models.

The restrictor is delivered with a center hole slightly smaller than stock. Hole size is 9 mm. With this, all models will surely run under 45 km/h.

The restrictor is easy to drill yourself if it restricts power too much. The best tool for drilling is a step drill bit with the desired diameters. It is recommended to increase the hole size a couple of millimeters at a time until the desired restriction is achieved through a test ride, to ensure the hole does not accidentally become too large: drilling the hole is easy – making it smaller is difficult.
